These terms govern your use of the 48h.dev website preview and hosted website service.
Last updated: July 5, 202648h.dev is an independent service operated by a single developer (Alamir). "We", "us", and "our" throughout these terms refer to that service. It is run personally rather than through a registered company; if that changes, this page will be updated to reflect it.
By requesting a website preview or subscribing to the hosted website service from 48h.dev ("the service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
48h.dev builds smart websites for small businesses. We first build a free website preview based on the basic business information you provide. If you approve the preview and want it launched on your domain, we provide an ongoing hosted website service that includes hosting, an SSL certificate, technical maintenance, backups, domain connection help, basic SEO setup, and AI-ready site structure.
The standard service is one custom smart website. Larger content changes, additional pages, redesigns, or other custom requests are not part of the standard service and are handled separately by agreement, quoted before any such work begins.
The website preview is free. There is no upfront payment and no setup fee to receive a preview. You are under no obligation to proceed. If you do not approve the preview, you owe nothing.
The 48-hour delivery window for your preview begins once enough basic business information is received to build the preview. The window measures build time, not time spent gathering details.
After you approve and launch your website, the hosted website service has a minimum term of three (3) months. After the minimum term, you may cancel at any time. Your website stays live while your subscription is active. If you cancel after the minimum term, the hosted website service ends and the website is taken offline.
Small technical fixes and ongoing upkeep are included in the monthly service. Content changes, new pages, redesigns, or larger custom requests are handled separately by agreement, and are quoted and agreed before work begins.
Your website is built with strong SEO fundamentals and an AI-ready structure so that search engines and AI tools can better understand your business. However, no rankings, traffic levels, search placements, or AI-tool recommendations are guaranteed. "AI-ready" means the website is technically structured to help search and AI systems interpret your business — not a promise of any specific search or AI outcome.
You retain ownership of the content you provide (your text, images, and logos). The hosted website is provided as an ongoing service: it is built, hosted, and maintained by us and stays live while your subscription is active. We retain rights to our underlying methods, templates, and code components. Approving a free preview does not transfer ownership of the website or its underlying build to you. We may reference the type of business in anonymized examples unless you ask us not to.
You agree not to use the service for unlawful, deceptive, or infringing content. We may decline projects that conflict with these guidelines.
The service is provided "as is." To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the three (3) months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages. You are responsible for maintaining your own backups of important data.
You may stop using the service at any time. We may decline or terminate service for non-payment, breach of these terms, or content that violates our guidelines.
We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
Both parties agree to first try to resolve any dispute informally and in good faith by reaching out through the request form. Because the service is operated personally rather than through a registered company, there is no formal company jurisdiction; any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be handled under the applicable law of the operator's place of residence at the time. If the service is later incorporated, the governing jurisdiction will be stated here and confirmed in writing before any work continues.
We may update these terms from time to time. We will post the updated version and update the date above. Continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
