Privacy Policy

Your privacy matters. This policy explains what information 48h.dev collects, how it's used, and how it's protected.

Last updated: July 5, 2026

48h.dev is a small, independent service run by a single developer (Alamir). "We", "us", and "our" in this policy refer to that service. There is no third-party marketing operation behind it — your information is used to build and run your website, and for nothing else.

1. Information We Collect

Personal Information

When you request a website preview or use our services, we may collect:

  • Name and contact information (email address, phone number, preferred contact method)
  • Business details you share in the request or intake (business name, type, service area, existing website)
  • Materials you provide for your website (logos, photos, content, documents)
  • Payment information (processed securely through third-party payment processors)

Automatically Collected Information

We automatically collect certain information when you visit our website:

  • IP address and approximate location
  • Browser type and device information
  • Pages visited and time spent on the site
  • Referring website information
  • Cookies and similar technologies

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Service delivery: to assess fit, build your website preview, and host and maintain your live website
  • Communication: to respond to your request and provide support
  • Payment processing: to issue invoices and manage billing
  • Service improvement: to improve our service and examples
  • Legal compliance: to comply with legal obligations and protect our rights

3. Information Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. We share information only with the small set of service providers needed to run the service, and only for that purpose:

  • Fillout — powers the request form you submit. Details you enter there are stored on Fillout's platform. See Fillout's privacy policy.
  • Netlify — hosts this website and delivers it to your browser. See Netlify's privacy policy.
  • Cloudflare — provides privacy-friendly, cookieless website analytics (aggregate visit data only, no personal profiles). See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
  • Payment processor — if you launch a website, a third-party payment processor handles billing securely. Card details are entered with the processor, not stored by 48h.dev.

We may also disclose information where required by law (for example a court order or a lawful request), or to prevent fraud and protect our rights. As a solo service there is no company group or sale of assets involved.

4. Data Security

We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted data transmission (SSL/TLS), limited access on a need-to-know basis, and secure storage. No method of transmission over the internet is fully secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security but will notify you of breaches as required by law.

5. Cookies and Tracking

This website itself does not set advertising or tracking cookies. Analytics are provided by Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and measures aggregate traffic only — it does not build a profile of you or follow you across sites. The embedded request form (Fillout) and other third-party tools may set their own cookies needed for their functionality; you can control cookies in your browser settings, though disabling some may affect the form.

6. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to opt out of marketing communications. To exercise any of these, contact us using the details below.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide our services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Some information may be retained longer where law requires.

8. International Data Transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where it is, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

9. Children's Privacy

Our services are not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

10. Third-Party Links

Our site may link to third-party websites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices and encourage you to review their policies.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version, update the date above, and notify you of significant changes where required.

12. Regional Rights (GDPR / CCPA)

If you are in the EU/UK, you have additional rights under the GDPR, including the right to object to or restrict processing, withdraw consent, and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. California residents have rights under the CCPA, including to know, delete, and opt out of the "sale" of personal information. We do not sell personal information.
